Brianna Talbot

With six years of experience in the mental health field, I bring a wealth of knowledge and a
compassionate approach to my work as a therapist. I completed my Honors BA in Psychology at
the University of Western Ontario and am currently pursuing a Master of Arts in Counselling
Psychology at Yorkville University, where I am set to graduate in August 2025. I am a Registered
Psychotherapist (Qualifying), committed to continued growth and professional development.
Throughout my career, I have worked extensively with children and youth in diverse settings,
including detention centres, group homes, hospitals, schools, and clinical environments. My
work has focused on trauma processing, emotional regulation, anxiety, building coping
strategies, eating disorders, and depression. In addition, I have gained experience working with
adults in crisis situations, collaborating with police officers and emergency medical teams to
provide assessments and develop treatment plans tailored to the client’s needs.
I have a deep understanding of the mental health services available in Grey and Bruce counties
and am skilled in helping clients access these services effectively. My therapeutic approach is
rooted in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Narrative Therapy, always maintaining a
client-centered framework to ensure that everyone’s unique needs are met.
In recognition of the financial barriers some may face, I am offering reduced rates and sliding
scale services to make therapy more accessible to those in need. This service will be available as
continue to through completing my education.
Outside of my professional life, I enjoy reading, traveling, creating graphic art, and spending
time with my dogs. My holistic approach to therapy is shaped by a genuine commitment to
supporting others in their journey toward healing and personal growth.
